Learn how to use every major tool, organize daily care, and keep your plants, plans, reminders, and history connected.
After purchasing the digital pass, your access code is sent to the checkout email. Nothing is shipped. The 90-day period begins when Stripe confirms payment, not when you first open the app. The code looks like PLANT-XXXX-XXXX.
Open My Profile and go to the access section. Type or paste your code and select Activate or Verify. Once validated, every tool unlocks and the app displays your AI Care Credit balance. Smart Product Guide is tracked separately.
The app unlocks immediately and creates a secure session in this browser, so you do not need to enter the code on every page. Keep the code for recovery or a new device.
One payment starts a 90-day access period when Stripe confirms the purchase or renewal. Nothing is shipped, and renewal is always manual.
Use the 9 care tools, Plant ID, Photo Diagnosis, Today, saved plants and plans, journals, reminders, AI Help, Smart Product Guide, and all 11 languages.
A new Generator result, Plant ID, or Photo Diagnosis uses 1 AI Care Credit. Failed requests do not use a credit. Unused credits expire with the pass and do not roll over.
Opening, searching, saving, renaming, exporting, organizing, or deleting saved content does not use an AI Care Credit.
You receive app access and an access code; no physical item is mailed. There are no recurring charges or automatic renewals.
New AI generation and active-pass allowances stop. Your saved plants, plans, journals, photos, and history remain accessible and are retained for up to 180 days after expiration. Renew or recover the same code before that period ends.
Smart Product Guide includes up to 300 guides per active pass. It has its own allowance and never reduces your AI Care Credit balance.
Your profile helps the AI personalize every recommendation to your situation.
Choose Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. This helps the AI explain things at the right level of detail.
Select your home type (dry, humid, air-conditioned), plant location (indoor, balcony, office), and pet situation. These details directly affect watering and care recommendations.
Click Save Profile. Your profile is stored on the server and linked to your access code — it loads automatically when you unlock the app on any device.
The more detail you provide, the more accurate and actionable your results will be.
Type the common name — for example: Monstera, Peace Lily, Snake Plant, Pothos, Orchid. A scientific name is optional but helpful for uncommon varieties.
Select your pot type (plastic, terracotta, ceramic), whether it has drainage holes, and the potting mix you're using. These factors directly affect watering frequency and root health.
Select the light your plant receives (low, medium indirect, bright indirect, direct sun) and how often you currently water. If you're not sure, choose Not sure — the AI will note what to check.
Is the plant healthy, declining, recovering, or under pest treatment? This helps the AI prioritize urgent care steps.
Open the Generator and choose one of 9 AI tools: Basic Care Plan, Watering Plan, Fertilizing Plan, Repotting Guide, Propagation Guide, Pet Safety Check, Problem Diagnosis, Care Calendar, or Plant Finder.
Click the Generate button. The AI typically takes 10–20 seconds to produce your personalized plan. A loading indicator will show while it works.
The result appears in clear, organized sections based on the tool selected. Review the recommendations carefully. The complete result is saved automatically to My Plans.
In the Generator section, click the Problem Diagnosis card.
Select the symptoms that describe what you're seeing — yellow leaves, brown tips, drooping, mold on soil, pests, and more. You can select multiple options from the grid.
Provide additional context: when it started, which leaves are affected, soil condition, whether you've checked the roots, and any recent change such as repotting, fertilizing, or moving the plant.
The AI returns: Likely Causes, What to Check First, Immediate Action Today, a 7-Day Recovery Plan, Mistakes to Avoid, and When to Worry.
Every completed Generator result is saved automatically to My Plans and linked to your access code. You do not need to press a separate Save Plan button.
Use Save Plant when you want to add a plant profile to your collection. My Plants gives each saved plant its own journal, care history, photos, notes, and reminders.
Open My Plans to review, organize, rename, or delete saved results. They remain connected to your access code and load when you activate that code on another device.
Photo Diagnosis is a separate page that lets you upload a photo and receive an instant clinical diagnosis — no text forms needed.
Click Diagnose in the top navigation or the bottom menu. The page is available to any user with an active access code.
Tap the upload zone or drag a photo directly onto it. JPG, PNG, and WebP are supported up to 8MB. The photo is automatically compressed before sending — large phone photos work fine. For best results, photograph in natural daylight and make sure the affected area is clearly visible.
You can add a short note describing what you observe — when it started, whether the soil is dry, if you recently repotted, etc. You can also type the plant name if you know it. Both are optional but improve the result.
The AI returns a structured diagnosis in your language: the condition name, the physiological cause, what to do today, a 7-day rescue plan, what not to do, and guidance on watering, moving, and repotting.
Don't know what plant you have? Plant ID identifies the species from a photo and gives you a complete care profile — plus a one-click link to generate a full care plan.
Click Plant ID in the top navigation or the mobile menu. The feature is available to all users with an active access code.
A photo showing the full plant or a clear view of its leaves and structure gives the best results. Avoid extreme close-ups that only show a single leaf segment without context. Good lighting is essential for accurate identification.
The result shows: common name, scientific name, botanical family, confidence level (high, medium, or low), origin and habitat, a quick care profile with 6 key parameters, the 3 most common problems for that species, and a pet safety statement.
At the bottom of the result, click Generate Full Care Plan. The app automatically navigates to the Generator with your plant name pre-filled. Simply choose your plan type and click Generate — no typing needed.
The journal is your personal care diary for each plant. Open it to view the plant profile, log care events, and write notes.
Go to My Plants and open any plant card, then tap View Journal. The journal shows your plant's bio, botanical details, and active care reminders.
In the Care Log section, tap Log Care. Select the action — watering, fertilizing, repotting, or pruning — and add an optional note. The entry is saved with a timestamp and linked to your access code.
In the journal notes area, write any free-form observation — how the plant looks, what you changed, or anything you want to remember. Notes are private and saved to your account.
Set automated email reminders for each plant's watering, fertilizing, and repotting schedule — and export them to your calendar.
In a plant's journal, find the Care Reminders section. Click Set Reminder for the care type you want — watering, fertilizing, or repotting. Enter your email and choose the interval (for example, every 7 days).
After setting a reminder, click the calendar download button to get a .ics file. Import it on your device to add the repeating event to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any app that supports the .ics format.
Today shows which saved plants need attention and helps you record routine care without opening each journal.
Plants are organized into overdue tasks, tasks due today, and plants with no action currently needed.
Log watering, fertilizing, or repotting directly from the dashboard. The care event is added to the plant’s history.
After you complete a task, the plant moves automatically to the correct group based on its next scheduled care date.
Search your saved collection and quickly locate the plant profile or AI result you need.
Open Search and enter a plant name, nickname, scientific name, or a term from a saved result.
Results can include saved plants and saved plans. Select the matching item to open its journal, profile, or complete AI result.
Use separate chat modes for plant questions and app support, with responses in your selected language.
Open AI Help from the navigation menu and choose the chat that matches your need: plant assistance or app support.
Ask in plain language. The assistant keeps the context of the current conversation and displays the remaining message allowance inside the chat.
For payment, access-code, account, or technical issues that require a person to investigate, send the details through the Contact page.
Today and Journal use a next soil-review date that learns from real care events instead of repeating a fixed watering command.
When a soil review is due, select Check soil and record dry, slightly dry, moist, or wet.
Only mark that you watered when you actually decided to water after checking the plant and substrate.
Read the explanation to see which conditions moved the next review earlier or later.
Set a 1–90 day manual interval when you prefer full control, then choose Resume adaptive schedule to return.
Rooms and growing spaces help you filter a collection and record shared conditions without replacing each plant’s individual care profile.
Open My Plants, select Manage spaces, enter a name, and optionally add shared light and environment notes.
Choose the room when creating or editing a plant, then use the room filters to focus on one space or plants that are still unassigned.
The room summary shows shared light and notes, but individual plant requirements always take priority. Deleting a room only unassigns its plants; it never deletes them.
Use these safe recovery steps before contacting support. They solve the two most common urgent problems without sharing sensitive information.
Plant Finder is different from all other plan types — it helps you discover a new plant, not care for an existing one.
In the Generator section, click the Plant Finder card. You do not need to fill in the Plant Profile form — this tool works independently.
Select the room, available light, how often you want to care for a plant, whether you have pets, and the visual style you prefer.
The AI recommends 3 to 5 plants that fit your space, with details on care difficulty, light needs, watering frequency, pet safety, and placement tips for each one.
Visit Plans → Renew Your Pass.
Type your current access code and click Check My Pass. You'll see your current usage, expiry date, and plan details.
Select a plan and complete payment through Stripe. Confirmation starts a fresh 90-day period and resets the AI Care Credit balance to the selected plan. Unused credits do not roll over. Use the same code so retained saved content stays connected.
Be specific with pot and soil details
Drainage holes, pot material, and soil type are the most influential factors in watering recommendations.
Don't skip the watering frequency field
Your current watering habit — even if it's wrong — helps the AI understand the situation and correct it in the plan.
For diagnosis, select all applicable symptoms
Multiple symptoms together give the AI much better signal than a single symptom alone. Don't hold back — select everything you're seeing.
Add your region
If you mention your region or country in your profile, the AI can take seasonality and climate into account when making recommendations.
Always read the disclaimer section
The AI uses careful language because plants vary. Use the plan as a starting guide, observe your plant closely, and adjust based on what you see.
Review your automatically saved results
Generated results are saved automatically in My Plans. Rename or organize important results so they are easier to find later.
Still need help?
